Ubud Resort Wedding: Tobias & Stephanie

The Ubud Resort Wedding of Tobias & Stephanie was any photographer’s dream wedding. 

Just have a look at this absolutely mega-gorgeous venue and you will see why. Add to this that this was an elopement wedding, where I as the photographer have the couple all for myself. What I mean is that as a photographer during an elopement wedding I can build up a very intimate working relationship with my couples. Not only that, I can also learn about their story and what makes them tick. 

So it was very interesting to learn about what brought those two lovely people together, where they live and and and… For me being a wedding photographer is all about the connection to people which I can establish for a few hours. And working in Bali makes it even more fun because I meet people from all over the world. But I am digressing here.

Most people would consider an overcasted day without sunlight to be a disadvantage for photography. But this fantastic wedding is testimony that it does not need to be that way. Because the ultra diffused, soft light that was created by the cloud cover helped me to make those captivating photographs. 

And occasionally the sun even came out for a bit. 

Although this particular resort does not have a lot of spots for photography we were still able to find some lovely backdrops that showed the genuine atmosphere & spirit of Bali. 

I love this wedding and the resulting photographs to bits.
