Wedding | Pre Wedding | Bali and some more… for Rachel & Kevin
When Rachel approached me the first thing she did not tell me whether she wanted to have pre-wedding photos or a honeymoon photo session or whether she wanted me to photograph her wedding. All she was certain about was that I had to be her photographer in Bali.
Quite a gratifying feeling if someone is so into my style of photography…
When I subsequently discussed with her what she wanted to do she told me that on one side she wanted me to photograph her wedding, which will take in a spectacular cliff-front villa. But she advised she also wanted to have photographs of her and ‘her man’ in some of Bali’s most scenic landscapes.
When I explained to her that this may not all be possible on the wedding day, due to the logistics she quickly fell in love with the idea to do a pre-wedding photo session during an earlier trip. A couple of months before the actual wedding day.
And that pre-wedding session took place two weeks ago.
But let’s see some photographs first:
Let’s hit the beach first
On the morning of the photo tour, I invited Rachel and Kevin over to my house quite early. Because they had lots of questions about the wedding day. Not particularly about the photography aspect but they wanted my advice on setup, scheduling, and other aspects.
So, we discussed this over coffee before Rachel had her makeup & hair done. We then had a quick lunch and then headed out to the beach.
For the remainder of the day, we visited some more enchanting typical Bali environments. Rachel changed dresses twice.
As it is my style I choose locations that are far off the beaten track, away from crowded tourist locations.
See in the following see more photos from this beautiful day I had the honour to spend with Rachel & Kevin.
Rachel, Kevin I very much look forward to photographing your wedding next year.
